The Northwest represents the Qian Trigram, the energy of Heaven and the Father. It is the most important area for the money stability of the household. A missing Northwest is often found in houses where the father figure is absent, travels constantly, or struggles to maintain authority. In the body, this shows up as problems with the head—migraines, high blood pressure—or the lungs.

To fix a missing Northwest, you must install the element of Metal. The Qian energy is "Big Metal." You need heavy, round, metallic objects in the area closest to the missing corner. A bronze statue, a large round clock with a metallic chime, or heavy stone objects (Earth produces Metal) are needed. You are creating a "phantom limb" to anchor the Qian energy.

The Southwest Shortage

In Period 8, the "Spirit Spirit" (the wealth star) was often activated in the Southwest. You may have placed water features there in the past. In Period 9, the location of the Spirit Spirit has shifted. The primary location for Water to activate wealth is now the North.

You must relocate active water to the North area of your living room or property. Furthermore, the South area has become the seat of the Period Star. The South governs fame, visibility, and technology. It corresponds to the Fire element. In your floor plan, the South area must not be dark or cluttered. It requires brightness. If your South area is a storage room, you are hiding your potential for recognition. However, a warning is necessary regarding the South. Because the South is Fire, and Period 9 is Fire, the energy here is incredibly intense.
